Hey...how you doing? Welcome to CHANT. My name is Chant and this place is for...hmm...everything...and anything. I guess its just a place for my thoughts and ideas and anything else. okay..well enjoy.

Right now I have nothing to really say... it's my first time making a home page.  I really don't know what to put here... oh I heard a really good quote today....

" Failure is not when you fall, it is when you stay down"

whoa...that's deep.

The world seems to be getting smaller these days.

Life is pretty crazy. Last night a student of my school died while riding his motorcycle. He was hit by a truck. Well today his girlfriend...she tried to hang herself in the bathroom.  Even as I type this in my computer class I hear the murmur of "oh and she hung herself" and "she did this" and some sick jokes about how one student will hang another...very very tragic… only if we could all freely talk to one another. Maybe she would have been able to deal with the loss of her boyfriend...she must have loved him a lot.  Imagine not being able to live without someone.

Another thing I  realized is that all these events of violence that have been erupting in our schools happened due to the influence of cliques.  We all have our own little cliques of close friends and buddies.  Its good that we do. But if we hurt others because they are not part of the little group you have the effect is gargantuan.  Look at Columbine HS; the TCM (Trench Coat Mafia) were outcasts and they were ostracized from the "normal" people.  Look at what that led to.  Then the other shooting a little bit after that one; six people shot.  There are numerous other shootings in the past in our public schools which were ignited due to the influence of cliques.  Isn't it time we stopped this? Yeah cliques are unavoidable. They will form no matter what because we have friends that are close and have similar interests and we will hang out with them.  Even if we are in these cliques we shouldn't hurt those out side of them.  Either let them be or be nice to them. They didn't do anything to you.
